The "Arctic Envy", our 31'
Bertram, is the newest addition to the Goofy Moose family. We
searched long and hard to find just the right boat
for you to enjoy Alaskas` legendary outdoors and
fishing. The Envy fishes between 1 and 6 passengers very
comfortably. With all the latest electronics and high quality
fishing gear she's the perfect boat to take us on the fishing trip
of a lifetime, be it for monster Halibut,
King or Silver Salmon, or trophy size Lingcod and
Rockfish.
We offer a wide variety of customizable trips
to fit your needs, from sightseeing and wildlife viewing to the most
extreme of all day fishing trips the "Fishing on the
Rocks" combo (my personal favorite) where we fish for halibut,
lingcod and other species of rockfish. We also offer "full
boat" rates where you can reserve the whole boat for just
yourselves (up to a maximum of 6).
Whichever trip you decide on, we supply all
fishing equipment, bait, tackle, fish cleaning, and an experienced
and licensed crew, that really love what they do.

Halibut : The true monster of the deep
reaching over 400lbs. Halibut are what most people come to Homer to
catch. The average size in Homer on any given day is around 25
lbs. We are never happy with average, so we fish a
little longer and and a little harder than most. Our trips
start around 7:00am and return around 5:00pm usually traveling
between 30 and 50 beautiful miles, one way to the fishing
grounds.
Lingcod: Quite possibly the ugliest fish you
will ever see, also one of the most exciting to catch and every bit
as good to eat as halibut (my wife likes 'em better). Fishing
for Lings takes us out into the Gulf of Alaska and into the heart of
some the most incredible fishing grounds in the world, not just for
the fishing, but also for the scenery and the wildlife. Here is
where you have your best chance of fishing alongside pods of
Humpback and Killer Whales, colonies of sealions, and birds too
numerous to name. Lingcod trips are usually combined with halibut
fishing to make combos, this is by far the best chance to fill
both yours and your friends' freezers.
Salmon: Don't think Salmon are just a river
fish, they come from the ocean first, and are fresher and feistier
there. Salmon fishing in the early and late summer can be fantastic.
Be it for Kings (March-June) or Silvers/Coho(Aug.-Sept.) we
will be happy to take you to them. This can be a really fast bite
with fish on the lines constantly. With Salmon it's usually red
hot or ice cold so we constantly stay updated with our contacts
in the fleet. If they're not biting we won't take a salmon
trip.
So pick up a derby ticket, grab some lunch,
rest up, and get ready for the trip of a lifetime.

kids fishing. Capt. Don Dingman and his crew came out on the
"Arctic Envy" last summer to film the kids (6 year old Jimmy
and 12 year old Jimmy!). As you can see, we all had a
great time -
Homer is a fantastic destination for the entire
family.
